Our Accomplishments

An insight into our achievements over the past few years...

Over the years, WorldServe Education has strived hard in making a difference to
hundreds of students and academicians around the Globe.

We present to you a few of our accomplishments, during this journey...

At the Forefront...

A few of our latest achievements

The past few years have been extremely enthralling for all of us at WorldServe Education. The year 2014 kick starting off with great appreciation for two of our projects - one a project by Prashanth and team and another by Sachin S. K. and team from RNSIT. The former went on to receive funding from BMS College of Engineering and the latter not only receiving funding from IEEE but also went on to win the third prize at the DEMO-IT competition held by the IEEE Student Congress at Hyderabad.

Thanks to the appreciation obtained for our efforts, projects and our students, WorldServe was then invited as guest lecturers to teach two important subjects for the final year students of MCA at the Central University of Karnataka, Kalburgi. We were once again appreciated for record time completion of syllabus in just one month and also obtaining 100% results, proving our mettle once again in our teaching methodologies.

2014 also saw WorldServe Education collaborate with the prestigious ICTS-TIFR, Bangalore to develop an exhibit for the Mathematics of Planet Earth Exhibition held at the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum. The exhibit involved highlighting the importance and also understanding how mathematical functions work. To achieve this, WorldServe education developed an ingenious methodology where-in a graph of a function is displayed on a screen and the user has to trace the same in order to understand how they work. The exhibit was based on real time video processing and was met with a lot of appreciation. Please view video 1 for more info on the exhibit and video 2 for comments on the same.

Our other programs

Workshops, Seminars & Programs Organised

In 2014, WorldServe Education organised a 2-day workshop on Natural User Interfaces for the students of Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bangalore, in association with the Telecom department. A group of thirty students were introduced to several concepts of MATLAB, Simulink, Image Processing and also real time Video Processing. As part of the workshop, students also explored different algorithms to control inanimate objects (like computers) through various hand gestures like waving or sign language!

In 2012-2013, WorldServe Education was a part of the 2-day workshop on Image and video processing for M.Tech students of REVA Institute of Technology and Management. WorldServe Education gave a one hour workshop to students who were in turn given a complete insight into Hardware-Software Co-design, Camera interface to the FPGA and Image Processing on FPGA.

Since 2012, WorldServe Education has been cordially invited every year to give one-hour lectures at various colleges in Bangalore. The 3rd year and 4th year engineering students of colleges such as Reva Institute of Technology, Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Atria Institute of Technology, JSS College of Engineering, BMS Institute of Technology, New Horizon College of Engineering have participated in the same.

In March 2012, WorldServe Education was a sponsor for the "3-day National Seminar and Workshop on Digital Image Processing and Applications - 2012" (DIPA - 2012) at the Bangalore Institute of Technology.
WorldServe Education also presented a Keynote Session on "Hand gesture recognition using Image Processing on FPGA" for a over 100 delegates from different parts of India. Our practial approach to the topics of the seminar was very much appreciated.

WorldServe Education has conducted several 30 day mini project programs based on Image Processing, Communication and VLSI concepts across a host of colleges across Bengaluru. Colleges such as RNSIT, BIT, Atria Institute of Technology and YDIT have been great patrons of such programs.

WorldServe Education conducted a full fledged Mini Project Course in Java, MATLAB and Simulink for the MCA students of the Central University of Karnataka. The duration was for a period of one month in the campus of Worldserve Education. Students concluded by designing and developing several unique projects. It also helped many students to gain internships in many popular IT companies.

In 2011, WorldServe Education conducted a 3 hour technical training program for Job opportunities at RNSIT, Bangalore. Resource Personnel included Ms. Ranjani B. S., Mr. Vijay Kumar and Mrs. Shwetha C Ravoor who belong to various internationally renowned MNC's as Senior Software Engineers. The programme was met with great enthusiasm and assisted many students to attain top jobs.

  • In February 2012, Worldserve Education has conducted the Student development program on emerging trends in Digital FPGA design, in association with the Telecommunication Department of Atria Institute of Technology. Resource Personnel included Mr. Sudhir Rao Rupanagudi and also Miss Pallavi H, Miss Siri S and Mr. Aditya from BMSIT.

  • Again in August 2012, We conducted the Student development program on Communication & Image Processing using MATLAB & SIMULINK, at Atria Institute of Technology, with resource personnel - Mr. Sudhir Rao Rupanagudi, Miss Sushma Huddar, Miss Swarna Gowri and Mr. Dhruva

  • WorldServe has also conducted an SDP on FPGA Design & its latest trends in Image processing & Communication on 15th and 16th February 2013 for 4th semester Telecommunication students at Atria Institute of Technology. Resource Personnel included - Mr. Sudhir Rao Rupanagudi, Miss Sushma Huddar and Mr. Dhruva N. Worldserve was also honored to have the august presence of Mr. Ramamurthy H., Scientist G, ISRO. He enlightened us with a wonderful talk on the current trends in FPGA design. We also had Mr. R Huddar, a Scientist G at ISRO, who graced the occasion as well.
Student Awards

Marks is not the most important thing in the world. However, nobody can disregard the value it carries in the education system. In 2013, 90% of the students of WorldServe Education got above 90% in their Project External Examinations. The rest got above 85%. In the year 2014, we outdid this record with 90% of students getting above 95%! Clearly, a huge accomplishment for the effort put by the students and an example of our raising standards! In 2015, we yet again broke our records with a 5% increase in students getting above 90%. A graph of the performance of the students for all three years is shown below.
